    • Death of Mrs. Ferdinand Meier

      Mrs. Ferdinand Meier died at her home in Stratford on Tuesday night after a long illness. She had been in poor health for the past six years. Born at Neustadt, Ont., in 1874, she was the former Miss Margaret Gaiser, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gaiser of that community. In 1905 she was married in Kitchener to Ferdinand C. Meier and had lived in Stratford since that time. Mrs. Meier was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving besides her husband are one son, Clarence, Stratford, a sister, Mrs. Valentine Eckstein, Kitchener. A private funeral service will be held this Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., after which a public service in Zion Lutheran Church will follow. Rev. H. F. Gruhn, minister of the church, will officiate. Interment will be in Avondale cemetery. The bereaved husband is a native of New Hamburg and was at one time on the local printing office staff.
