  Dr. Frederick H. Sherk, "a native of Ontario, spent his boyhood in attending the public school. When pretty well up in his "teens" he passed the teachers' examination and spent several years in teaching in this county. In 1887 he entered the Toronto University and Medical College where he studied medicine. After having taken four full terms, he graduated and received his degree of M.D. and is now practicing at Sault St. Marie, Algoma, Ontario. He is married to May Cunningham." Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
