Notes - OREND-Michael Emil; peacefully after a lengthy illness at K.W. Hospital on January 30th, 1989. Mike Orend in his 65th year. Loving husband of Beryl (Hurlbut) Orend. Dearest father of Thomas, Steven and Michael of Waterloo, James and Robert of Kitchener and Mrs. Wendy Winter of Ajax. Mr. Orend will be sadly missed by six grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister Mrs. Elsie Wastell of Waterloo. Predeceased by his parents and one sister Regina Fischer. Mr. Orend was born in Romania. He was an employee of Budd Automotive until October 1988 and was a member of the Waterloo Legion Branch No. 530. The family will receive friends at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Road), Kitchener on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:00p.m. Rev. Jack Dressler will officiate. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial considerations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
