    • Fred Duval

      Fred J. Duval, 69, died suddenly at his resident, 218 Courtland Ave. East, early today. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Duval, he was born at Bracebridge, March 16, 1884. He was an employee of the J.J. Schneider Company Ltd. A member of St. Joseph's RC Church, he was also a member of the Holy Name Society. His first wife, the former Isabella Zettel, died April 1, 1947. Surviving are his second wife, the former Valerie MacLean; three daughters, Mrs. David (Marguerite) Halliwell; Mrs. Peter (Leontine) Jurchak and Mrs. Charles (Maria) Knapp, Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Selina Pappilion, Acton; and five brothers, Peter Duval, Kitchener, William, Acton, and three brothers in the Canadian northwest. One son, Edlor Duval died April 16, 1947. Fourteen grandchildren survive. The body is resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where prayers will be said Saturday at 8:30 a.m. followed by requiem high mass at St. Joseph's RC Church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in Woodland Cemetery. Rev. R.M. Haller will officiate
