  WITT, John - passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. John Witt in his 71st year was the beloved husband of Mary (nee Brattan) Witt for 50 years. Loving father of John and his wife Joanne of Waterloo, Mia and her husband Richard Holz of Germany, Steve and his wife Jaime of Lynden, ON, Edye St. Hill of Barrie and Dan and his wife Anna of Kitchener. Grandpa to Steve and Nancy, Jenny, Diana, Jaclyn, Laura, Bernhard, Alexander, Brandon, Dylan and Madison. Predeceased by sister, Barbara Lenhardt. John's family received relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 749-8467. Parish prayers were held at 8 p.m. Monday evening. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. (today) Tuesday, July 27, 2004 followed by procession to St. Anthony Daniel RC Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Fr. Earl Talbot officiating. Interment Woodlawn cemetery.
