Editor of Canadian White Ribbon Tidings For 29 Years
LONDON, Ont., Dec. 19 - (CP) - Mrs. Lottie McAlister, prominent social worker and for 22 years editor of the Canadian White Ribbon Tidings the national organ of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, died today at her residence, 422 Piccadilly Street. She was in her 79th year.
Born in Lowville, Ontario, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Plowes, Mrs. McAlister received her education in Brantford. She was the widow of the late Rev. W. G. H. McAlister, well-known member of the Old Methodist Church and Past President of the London Methodist Conference.
