- DECHERT, Albert G. - At St. Mary's Hospital on Wednesday, April 2, 1975 after a brief illness, Albert George Dechert of 726 Guelph St., aged 77 years.
Mr. Dechert was born in Linwood, a son of the late Henry Dechert and the former Barbara Witt; a resident of the Twin City area all his life and a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church; employed in the Works Department of the City of Kitchener for more than 40 years, he retired in 1962.
He is survived by his wife, the former Lucinda Duench; by two daughters, Esther (Mrs. Gordon Soehner) and Helen (Mrs. Gerrard Reinhardt), both of Kitchener and by two sons, Arnold of Binbrook and Clare of Goderich; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive; predeceased by an infant son, Lorne in 1928 and a sister, Christina.
Friends may call Ratz-Bechtel funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 pm tonight; funeral service in the chapel Saturday at 2 pm, with Rev. F. W. Zinck officiating. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery.
Donations to the golden Hours of St. Matthew's Church or the Ontario Heart Foundation may be made as expressions of sympathy.
