  LICHTI, Solomon -- Of Route 1, Milverton, passed away Friday evening, in the R.E.C.YU. of the Stratford General Hospital, was born in Kingwood, 77 yeas ago. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Lichti, a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley. Beloved husband of the former Emma Jantzi; dear father of Ervin of Kelowna, B.C., Lorne of Newville, Penna., Elmer and Lloyd, both of Stratford, Aaron of Calgary, Alta., and Leona (Mrs. Tom Mason) of Smith's Falls; dear brother of Mose of Millbank, Nancy (Mrs. John Bellar) of Route 1, Milverton and Mary (Mrs. Chris. Gerber) of Millbank. Also survived by 21 grandchildren. Predeceased by one son David, one brother Aaron and one sister Susie. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. At noon Monday, October 3, his remains will be removed to the Maple View Mennonite Church for the service at 2: 30. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Kitchener-Waterloo Record 1 Oct 1977 ____________________ Lichty.- Solomon, son of Rudolph and Rachael (Schrag) Lichty, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont., May 23, 1900; died at Stratford General Hospital, Sept. 30, 1977; aged 77 y. On Dec. 8, 1921, he was married to Emma Jantzi, who survives. Also surviving are 5 sons (Ervin, Lorne, Elmer, Lloyd, and Aaron), one daughter (Leona-Mrs. Tom Mason), 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one brother (Moses), and 2 sisters (Nancy Bellar and Mary-Mrs. Chris Gerber). He was preceded in death by one son (David), one brother (Aaron), and one sister (Susan-Mrs. Dan Gerber). He was a member of Maple View Church, where funeral services were held, in charge of Alvin Leis, and Jacob Roes; interment in adjoining cemetery.
