- Martin M. Bauman, of Wallenstein, 63, died suddenly Wednesday of last week at the K-W Hospital. He suffered a stroke the previous night. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bauman and was born in Woolwich Township March 30, 1897. In 1920 he married Rebecca Martin, who survives. Mr. Bauman was a member of Hawkesville Gospel Hall. Also surviving are three sons, Addison and James of Wallenstein, and Adin of Medicine Hat, Alt.; two daughters, Mrs. Reinheart (Alma) Frede of Wallenstein and Mrs. Leonard (Mary) Martin of Heidelberg, four brothers, Urias of Hawkesville, Henry of Elmira, Noah of Wallenstein and David of RR 1 Waterloo, two sisters, Mrs. Israel Hoffman of RR 1, Waterloo and Mrs. David Hoffman of Heidelberg and 18 grandchildren. Four sisters and two brothers predeceased him. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, until 5 p.m. on Friday when removal was made to the Bauman home for the funeral at 1 p.m. Saturday. A private service was held at the home. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
