  Steddick - At Floradale, Oct 30th Wm. Steddick, aged 28 years, 9 months and 4 days. The Chronicle Telegraph 29 Oct 1914, p. 8 _____________ Wm. Steddick.-Another unexpected death, was that of William Steddick of Floradale, after only a few days illness. A sad feature in connection is that the fatiler of the deceased has lain seriously ill for about a week, an injury from a fall being followed by a severe attack of pneumonia. William Steddick was born in Salem in 1885. Later the family moved to Floradale where his father had charge of the hotel until he bought the Zilliax house has had charge of the hotel at Floradale. In April 1907, he was married to Miss Mary Lorch, who survives him. He is also survived by his parents, one brother and one sister. The funeral took place on Friday morning to the R.C. church at Elora thence to the R.C. cemetery for burial. The pallbearers were, A.J. Ruggle, J. B. Weber, Chas. Schuetz, Robt. Slimnon, Lodis Fischer, Wm. Wagner. The Chronicle Telegraph 29 Oct 1914, p. 8
