    • Mrs. Amanda Brighton, 77, of 162 Duke St. East, died Thursday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. A Kitchener resident for 25 years, she was born Feb. 16, 1884; in Mannheim, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Hallman. She was a member of Alma Street United Brethren Church, the Ladies Aid Society and was a life patron of the Women's Missionary Association of the church. She was predeceased by her husband, Isaac Brighton, Oct. 14 1950. They were married Dec. 21, 1904, in Mannheim. She is survived by two sons, Delton R. and Ross I., both of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. R. Howard (Effie) Becker and Mrs. William (Irene) Petzold, both of Kitchener; two brothers, Simon Hallman of New Dundee and Aaron Hallman of Vineland Station; one sister, Mrs. Lovina Wilmer of Kitchener; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until Saturday noon when removal will be made to Alma Street United Brethren Church. Friends may pay their respects until the time of service. Rev. A. Ward Woolner will conduct the funeral at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
