  JOHN GRAHAM TURNBULL 1863-1921 John Graham Turnbull was born in Galt on November 9, 1863, a son of Robert Turnbull and Elizabeth Graham and the younger brother of Charles Turnbull. After his father died at the early age of 52 in 1879, John assisted his brother Charles in the operations of the Turnbull Knitting Company. Mr. Turnbull served as a director and sales manager of the C. Turnbull and Co. He was a president of the South Waterloo Automobile Association and was a member of the Galt Board of Trade. Mr. Turnbull served on the Galt municipal council sitting as a councillor from 1907 to 1909, as the second deputy reeve in 1910 and 1911 and as first deputy reeve in 1912 and 1913. He also served as the chairman of the Galt and Suburban Roads Commission, was a member of the Ontario Highways Commission and was a member of the Waterloo County council from 1910 to 1913.
