      Architect: William Hamilton Year Built: ca. 1868 Built by Samuel Merner, businessman, M.P., and Senator, the Italianate house was in the Puddicombe family from 1888 to 1969. Restored in 2006 to accommodate a restaurant, spa, hair salon, and B&B, the richly decorated house has 12-foot ceilings with plaster cornice mouldings and painted detail. 1a
