  HOUGHTON, ELLEN "NELLIE" (Nee McKellar) Suddenly on Saturday evening, February 11, 1928, in her 63rd year. Wife of William Houghton of 10 Victoria Ave. in Galt. Mrs. Houghton had suffered from heart trouble for some years past and had really never recovered from the severe shock she sustained at the time of the death of her two sons in the crossing accident on the Hespeler Road several years ago. She was born in Puslinch but had lived practically all her life in Galt. She was a member of Wesley United Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Lome, Alexander and Albert, all of Galt; two daughters, Mrs. W. O. McColl of Buffalo; Ella May at home; one brother, Dougall McKellar and two sisters, Mrs. M. McKenzie and Mrs. D. Smith of Galt; and five grandchildren. Funeral on Wednesday at 2: 30 from her residence to Mount View Cemetery. -Information from the marriage certificate: Born c. 1865, daughter of Walter McKellar and Ellen McLarty. She married William Houghton on Dec. 8, 1886.
