  Jacob Binkle - The death took place very suddenly on Friday night last of Mr. Jacob Binkle, a well-known and esteemed resident of New Hamburg. Mr. Binkle was stricken with paralysis early on Friday morning and another stroke on Friday night hastened his end. The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Binkle and was born in Wilmot on June 3rd, 1863. He farmed for many years on a farm two miles east of the village on Bleam's Road, but for the past ten years had resided in New Hamburg. He was twice married. His first wife died about 25 years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss his widow, who before their marriage was Nancy Spreeman, besides three sons, Leslie, Philip and Clayton of New Hamburg, and one daughter (Violet) Mrs. Sheels of Kitchener. One son, Leroy, predeceased him about 18 years ago. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Isaac Christner, Mrs. George Cousins and Mrs. Peter Staple, all of New Hamburg. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon from his late home to the Baptist Church and Riverside Cemetery, and was largely attended.
