    • David Seyler

      A former well known and esteemed resident of Philipsburg, Mr. David Seyler, passed away at his home in Baden on Tuesday, Jan. 20th, at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 10 days. He had been ill for several months.

      The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Seyler and was born in Wilmot on Nov. 10, 1867. He was married on June 1, 1901, to Leah Wettlaufer and farmed successfully for many years at Philipsburg. Six years ago he disposed of the farm to his son, Clayton, and retired to Baden. In religion the deceased was a Lutheran and a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church at Philipsburg and took active part in church work. Since residing in Baden he was also a member of the Lutheran church there.

      Besides his widow, he leaves in bereavement two sons, Nelson, in North Easthope, and Clayton, on the homestead, two daughters, (Ella), Mrs. Elmer Doering, of Philipsburg, and Viola, at home, two sisters, Mrs. Conrad Quehl and Mrs. John Heimpel, Wellesley.

      The funeral will be held this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home in Baden to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, for service. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. G. R. Schultz, the pastor, will be in charge of the funeral services
