- MCGINNIS, HUGH
At his home on Queen St. in Hespeler, on Sunday, November 7, 1915 at 5 a. m. , following a short illness with pneumonia as a result of a complication of diseases, in his 58th year. Born in Puslinch, he had resided in Hespeler and vicinity nearly all his life. For many years an employee of the R. Forbes Co. but for the past ten years, he had conducted a barber shop and devoted a great deal of time to the purchase and training of horses for racing. He was a good judge of horses. For many years, he bought turnips in this vicinity for a large firm of provision dealers in Pittsburg. Survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. W. E. Menger of Galt; a son, Lionel, at home; also two brothers and four sisters, James in Toronto; John in Berlin; Mrs. Douglas Fields and Mrs. Robert Fields in Toronto; Mrs. Albert Smith in Detroit; ?ne and Ellen, married and living in Michigan and Cleveland. Funeral from his residence at 10 on Wednesday to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, where Rev. Father Meyer conducted requiem high mass and thence, to the Roman Catholic Cemetery for interment. Pallbearers: John Flynn, J. Drayton, J. Doyle, J. H. McTearnen, W. Coughlin and J. McGinnis.
