    • Berkin, Penny - Passed away peacefully, at St. Mary's General Hospital, on Thursday, December 5, 2002, age 86 years. Penny was a member of First United Church in Waterloo and a retired employee of Mutual Life (Clarica). Dear mother of Frank (Bud) of Kitchener, step-mother to Gary and Denny and their families; grandmother to David, Stephanie and spouse Doug, Kelly and spouse Mike, all of Kitchener; great-grandmother to Ryan, Corey and Joshua. Also survived by a sister, Katherine and spouse Ed Maher of Elmira as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 8, 2002 at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Monday, December 9 from First United Church, 16 William St. W., Waterloo at 11 a.m., reception will follow in the church hall. Interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. Donations to the CNIB or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged through the funeral home at 745-8445 or www.edwardrgood.com.
