  John Mather John A. Mather, 72, of 5 Krug St., died Saturday at K-W Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Hastings County, he lived near Holstein for many years and had resided in Kitchener for the past 3 ½ years. Surviving in addition to his wife, the former Mary Ellen Philp, are three sons, Rev. G. Bertram, Vegerville, [sic] Alta., Fred, Stoney Creek, Harry P. Holstein, and a daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Laura) Weber, Kitchener. There is a brother, James, a sister, Elizabeth, both of Holstein, and seven grandchildren The funeral was held today at the Gardner Funeral Home, Mount Forest, with burial in Mount Forest Cemetery. Rev. A.R. Cragg of Waterloo, assisted by Rev. Mr. Taylor of Mount Forest, was in charge of the service Kitchener-Waterloo 13 Apr 1953
