    • HAROLD R. SIPPEL

      A native of St. George, Harold R. Sippel, 66, of 19 King St., Elmira, died suddenly Sunday, August 3, of a heart seizure.

      Born September 14, 1891, a son of Mrs. John Sippel of Drumbo and the late Mr. Sippel.

      He came to Elmira in 1923 and operated the Sippel Painting and Wallpapering Company since.

      A member of the Gale Presbyterian Church, he served on the church presbytery for several years.

      His wife, the former Lena Pearl Blumestien, died in 1952. Survivors include four sons, Fernlie and Henry of Winnipeg, Carl of Elmira, John of Hagersville; two daughters, Mrs. James (Myrl) Haack of Kitchener, Mrs. Clare (Joyce) Strome of Elmira; four brothers, Ernest of Oakville, Charles and Floyd of Drumbo, Philio of Dearborn, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Howard Wilson of Drumbo, Mrs. Murray Prentice of Dearborn; and 13 grand-children.

      The body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where the funeral was conducted in the chapel Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Walter McCleary officiated. Burial was in Elmira Cemetery.
