This picture depicts the owners of the Randall and Roos Wholesale Groceries and Liquors standing in front of their recently constructed building. The business was originally located in the Arhen's Block.

Friend of Musical Society
The death of William Roos yesterday removes another of the advancing the interests of this city and who have done it well. The deceased was an active business man up to a few years ago. He was throughout his life interested in the progress of Kitchener. He manifested this interest in particular in his unswerving loyalty to the musical society, a loyalty which extended beyond mere words and which on more than one occasion meant pecuniary sacrifice for him in order to keep the organization in existence. Our city has not become what it is today by mere chance. Men of the type of William Roos in the past in one way or another have all done their share to bring about the development and the progress which we have attained today.

That the city council extend its deep sympathy to the family in this their hour of bereavement.
