    • Mrs. William G. Schmidt - Following an illness of almost two years, Mrs. William G. Schmidt, 67, of 67 Cedar St. North, died Saturday at her residence. She was the former Bertha Hiller, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hiller, and was born June 8, 1885, in Germany. She came to Canada in 1891. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and of the Women of the Church.

      Her husband survives with two daughters, Mrs. George (Florence) Walker of Port Elgin, and Mrs. Carl (Marguerite) Weitzel of Ayr; two brothers, Ernest and Paul of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Norman (Minnie) Schreiber of Kitchener and six grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2: 30 pm at St. Peter's Lutherans Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery with Rev. A.W. Lotz officiating. The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home until Tuesday at 1 pm when removal will be made to St. Peter's Church for the service.
