- The death occurred at his home at Speedsville last Friday of Mr. Geo. Herringer at the age of 64 years. The deceased was born in Waterloo County and when a young man learned the printing trade, which he followed in Kitchener and Waterloo and for a short time was employed in the Independent Office about 25 years ago. After quitting the printing trade he took up farming. He was a devout adherent of the Catholic Church and a kind and friendly man to all with whom he came in contact. He was twice married. His second wife is the daughter of the late Joseph Seiss. formerly of New Hamburg. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mr. Howard Spalding, of Preston, Elizabeth and Francis and one son, Howard, at home. The funeral took place on Monday with service in the Preston Catholic Church and interment in Mount Hope Cemetery at Kitchener.
