  • Notes 
    • The graveyard property of our Evangelical Lutheran St. Jacobs' congregation had been purchased 19th April 1884 for $150.00 from Mr. Chr. Weidenhammer, which was agreed upon in a meeting of the congregation members. Before this time the deceased were buried on the church property in the village of Elmira. On the cemetery property, purchased from Mr. Weidenhammer, they began the burials in rows. On 5th January 1889 the congregation decided, in order to obtain a graveside lot, to have a draw.
