• Notes

  Samuel E. Bricker,"the second son of Samuel and Rebecca (Eby) Bricker, was born on Waterloo County, near Freeport, Ontario, May 30th, 1810. On February 21st, 1835, he was married to Catharine Overult who was born December 14th, 1814. After their marriage they moved near Chicopee, on the farm* now possessed by the heirs of the late Abraham M. Weber. Here they resided until March 4th, 1854, when they moved to Port Elgin, Ontario, where they still reside with their daughter, Mrs. Stafford. Their family consists of eight children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
