  Mary Shantz, "was born May 16th, 1834. On September 12th, 1852, she was married to Peter Reist. They reside near Kossuth, Ontario." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. _________________ Reist. - On Feb. 8, 1906, near Kossuth, Ont., of paralysis, Sister Mary, wife of Bro. Peter Reist; aged 71 y., 8 m., 23 d. Her husband, one son, four grandchildren and many friends remain to mourn her departure; but with the hope that she has gone to rest with the redeemed. Funeral on the 10th.
