  Christian Miller, "son of John and Hester (Steiner) Miller, was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, February 6th, 1791, and in 1809 he came to Canada and settled a little above Preston. He was married to Hester Wanner who was born June 9th 1796, and died June 13th 1864. To them was born a family of ten children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
