      FLORADALE The oldest resident of this vicinity, Mrs. Elizabeth Ritter, 92, died at the home of her son, Alfred Ritter, Elmira, RR 1, Thursday after a lengthy, illness. Mrs. Ritter was born in Wahlen, Germany, Jan. 2, 1862, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Korell. She was the only surviving member of a family of eight.

      Coming to Canada at 19 years of age, along with her brother, the late Charles Korell, she resided with an aunt at Bridgeport. In 1885 she married William Ritter at St. Jacobs and then moved to the farm north of Floradale where she has resided for nearly 70 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Floradale.

      Surviving are three sons, Albert, Oscar and Alfred; three daughters, Mrs. Theophil (Melinda) Geisel, Mrs. Ella Schmermund and Mrs. Leslie (Edith) Aberle, all of Elmira; also 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband 32 years ago and also by one daughter.

      The body will rest at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, until Sunday noon, when removal will be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Floradale, for service at 2:30 p. m. DST with Rev. Frank Malinsky officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

      Frienda are requested to pay their respects prior to the service.

      In profound sorrow we announce the death of our Beloved Mother Mrs. Elizabeth Ritter at her home R.R.1, Elmira, Ontario on Thursday, April 22nd, 1954 In her 93rd year. The Funeral will be held from Trinity Lutheran Church, Floradale, on Sunday, April 25 at 2:30 p.m. Interment in adjoining Cemetery.
