  Absalom Fried, "the eldest son in the family, was married to Hannah Chapman. They resided at Dashwood, Huron County, Ontario, where he was engaged in farming and also in the milling business. His death took place January 6th, 1874. To them were born eight children". Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
