(1^st) I will and devise unto my beloved wife Catherine Mosser my house and lot in the village of Smithsville and an annuity of forty eight dollars the first to be paid to my said wife three months after my decease to have and to hold the said real estate and annuity so long as she remains unmarried. I further will unto my said wife one bed stead with bed and bedding, a small table with two drawers therein, a trunk which has two locks thereto, my desk with such books in which I have written her name (except the family bible) one spinning wheel and reel, one straw roller, and a cooking stove with furniture and pipe all of which my said wife shall have whether she remains single or marries again, with this exception : If she marries again she shall merely receive an annuity of twenty four dollars instead of forty eight dollars and shall have no claim to my house and lot aforesaid.

(2^nd) I will that the balance of my property shall be sold by my Executors as soon as they conveniently can and pay my just debts and collect the debts due and owing to me.

(3^rd) I will that after the decease of my said wife or so soon as my said wife marries again, my Executors shall sell my said real estate and after investing a sufficient sum the interest of which shall yield a sufficient sum to pay the annuity to my said wife the balance of the proceeds of all my estate (together with the principal invested for said annuity after the death of my said wife) shall be equally divided among my children Margaret, Magdalene, Joseph Catherine, Frederick, and the children of my deceased son John, which children shall inherit their father's portion : had he been still living in equal shares. The husband of my said daughter Margaret shall have no control over her legacy. to have and to hold the above bequests unto my said heirs and to their heirs and assigns for ever. I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my sons-in-law Charles Wing and James Morley of the Township of Wilmot Yeomen, Executors of this my Last Will and Testament…

Codicil: Whereas I, Issac Mosser of the Township of Wilmot, Yeoman, having made and duly executed my Last Will and Testament in writing bearing the date the 8^th November 1859 - Now I do hereby declare this present writing to be a Codicil to my said Will and direct the same to be annexed thereto and taken as part thereof. And I do hereby give and bequeath to my said wife Catherine Mosser one cow and my clock, to have and to hold the same to her and to her heirs and assigns forever. JAMES WING'S BODY FOUND

Had Been Missing from Kitchener Since December 11.

Canadian Press Despatch. Kitchener, Dec. 23. - The body of James G. Wing, real estate agent, who mysteriously disappeared on Monday evening, December 11th, was found in a concrete cistern in the cellar of a house belonging to R. C. Anderson, who resides in Lindsay, and who had requested a Mr. Donohue, living next door to the vacant house to secure the key and shut off the water supply, The coat and hat, the missing man were found in the cellar, and a box was standing beside the Chief O'Neill and Sergt. Gramm were summoned, and, cutting in the the cistern, found the body. Wing was in his 69th year, and had been in ill-health for about a year.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and one son.

Body Found In Cistern.

James G. Wing, the real estate agent, whose body was found in a cellar cistern in a vacant house on Gordon Ave., Kitchener, on Friday last, was buried on Sunday afternoon at New Dundee, Rev. C. A. Sykes officiating. The deceased had been missing since the night of Dec. 11th, and his whereabouts was finally discovered by J. O' Donoghue, who lives next door to a house owned by R. C. Anderson, of Lindsay, who requested O' Donoghue to investigate whether water had been turned off, and in doing so discovered the missing man's coat and hat in the cellar, on a box standing beside the wall of the cistern. Chief O' Neill and Sergt. Grasser were notified, and on breaking the surface of the ice found the body in the water. Deceased was in his 69th year and lived in New Dundee until twenty years ago, when he entered the whitewear industry at Kitchener and later the real estate business. He was highly respected and his tragic end is believed to have been due to mental derangement caused by ill health. He is survived by a wife and three children.

Missing Citizen Is Discovered In Vacant House

BODY OF DECEASED, MR. J. G WING, FOUND LAST EVENING

Death Removes Well-known Citizen and Business Man

The mystery surrounding the dis appearance of Mr. J. G. Wing been solved, The body of the missing man was discovered at about eleven o'clock last evening in a cistern in the cellar of a vacant house at 31 Gordon Avenue, by Chief of Police O'Neill, Sergeant Grasser and Mr. J. O' Donohue, resident next door to No. 31.

The facts which led up to the discovery are these: R, Anderson, now of Lindsay, the owner of the vacant house, having read the reports about the missing man who had his property on his realty estate list, wrote to Mr. O' Donohue requesting him to see that the water was turned off is his residence. Mr. O' Donohue accordingly sought an entrance into the house. On the wall in the cellar he noticed a hat and coat. He thereupon, went to the office of the Chief of Police and notified him. The officers and he went to the house where search was undertaken. After examination throughout the residence the Chief proceeded to open the cement cistern in the cellar. The top of this was about three foot from the joists and was covered with several inches of ice caused by overflow. The ice was cut and soon it was ascertained that there was some object at the bottom, which unfortunately proved to be the body of the man sought. After the corpse was taken out the Coroner, Dr. Honsberger, was summoned, who, after examining the body and situation deemed an inquest unnecessary . The body was later removed to the Schreiter undertaking rooms.

It transpires that all the houses that deceased man had on his agency list had been searched except this one, the reason being that there was no record of the list at the office, the key with the tag being found at the house

Mr. Wing has suffered a nervous breakdown on different occasions a it is thought that in a moment of such a strain an irrational step was taken.

The demise of the well-known business man means the passing way of citizen of sterling worth, whose friends were many. The circle of his acquaintance in this and other counties was wide and the tribute to his work and interest in fellow citizens is general.

The deceased was born west of New Dundee and was his sevenieth year. His early Iife after attending school, was occupied at clerking with the store of Aaron Moyer. Later he was a partner with Cyruc Bricker for twenty-three years, he successfully conducted the business and was also the Postmaster of the village. His trade was extensive. …rouse coming … Williamsburg. Mannheim and the city. Nearly twenty years ago he came to this city after retiring from the business. Later he became a partner in the Star Whitewear Co. A nervous breakdown, with which he became afflicted at intervals, compelled him to retire. Subsequently he was a partner of Mr. F. E. Shantz in the real estate business. When Mr. Shantz went West Mr. Wing assumed the business alone and con ducted it successfully.

In all his undertakings and work the deceased was exemplary. Honest. conscientious and traightforward he had the confidence of all.

He was a valuable member of Trinity Methodist Church, Surviving him are his wife, one son, Dr, Ross Wing of Guelph; two daughters in Winnipeg, Mrs. Albert Master and Mrs. Charles Simpson. One son, Charles, predeceased him several years ago.

The funeral will be held at 1.30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the late residence and will be private. Interment will take place in New Dundee.

Mrs. Archie Hallman

Soloma Snider, dearly beloved wife of Mr. Archie Hallman, 87 Church St., passed away yesterday noon at the K-W hospital, following an illness of about three months. Deceased who was 42 years of age was born in Waterloo. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Snider of Waterloo. Six weeks ago Mrs. Hallman's affliction grew worse. From that time she was confined to her bed. The late Mrs. Hallman was a devoted member of the Pentecostal Chapel and was widely known in the community for her kindly disposition and her high Christian principles. Her untimely death will be deeply mourned by a host of friends and acquaintances in the community. She is survived by her bereaved husband, two sons, Ward and Reginald and one daughter, Helen, all of whom are at home. One brother, Mr. Harvey Snider, Brubacher St. and two sisters, Mrs. August Anderson of Acton and Mrs. Hiram Eby of Chapel St., also survive the deceased. The services will be held from her late residence, 87 Church St., on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock to the Pentecostal chapel where services will be conducted by Rev. Mr. Draffin. At time of going to press it had not yet been decided where interment would be made .

One of the most auspicious and prettiest weddings of the season which was marked by both simplicity and beauty was happily celebrated at the Methodist Church on Wednesday afternoon the occasion being the marriage of Miss Mary Evangeline (Eva) Devitt, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Menno Devitt, Waterloo, to Dr. Ross Hamilton Wing, D.D.S. of Guelph, son of Mrs. J. G. Wing of Winnipeg, Man., who returned from the front about a year ago, after serving for six months with the ambulance corps in France. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Geo. W. Barker, pastor of the Methodist Church, Burlington, an old and intimate friend of the bride's family. Ref. F. W. Mathers, B.D., pastor of the Waterloo church who was to have assisted was unable to be present. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Hildah Devitt as maid of honor and by Miss Bernice Roos, as bridesmaid. The groom was supported by his former school friend, Dr. (Captain) T. D. Campbell, D.D.S., of Dutton, Ont., who is home from the front on a short leave of absence. Messrs. E. Stanley Devitt, brother of the bride and Harley Hayes of Guelph acted as ushers. The bridal party and guests afterwards repaired to the bride's home, 90 Bellevue Ave., where a reception was held. Dr. and Mrs. Wing will reside at 5 Hillcrest Road, Guelph in which city Dr. Wing took over the dental practice of Dr. Foster about a year ago.

OTTAWA, Dec. 3. (CP) Funeral services will be held here today for Dr. Ross Hamilton Wing, 57, former mayor of Guelph, who died to hospital Thursday. Born in Kitchener, Dr. Wing came to Ottawa in 1940, and for a time practiced dentistry here. In the First World War he served overseas as a member of the dentistry corps.

Accident. The oldest son of Mr. Jacob Morley met with a serious accident white playing in the barn of Mr. Henry Bean near the Huron railroad bridge. He fell off a beam and landed right on his head and has been in a stupor ever since. It is not known to what extend the harm may be.

Notes:

We are sorry to report the death of Laura Morley, beloved wife of Mr. F. Frozell, which occurred at the Calgary hospital following an operation. The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Morley of this town. She was born in New Hamburg 37 years ago and spent her girlhood days here. Since her marriage she resided in North Dakota. Her husband and three children are left to mourn her demise. She also leaves two brothers, Mr. George Morley, superintendent of the local hydro plant, and Charles, of Brantford, and two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Niebel, of Galt, and Mrs. Lorne McKelvey, of Montreal.
