    Edward Bechtel

    GALT, Edward Bechtel, 15 Albert St., died today at his residence. He was 82. Born in New Hamburg, he had resided 50 years in Galt. He was a machinist with Joy Manufacturing Co. until retiring 12 years ago. He was a member of First United Church and of Waterloo Lodge 107, Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Blanche Simon, in 1942. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Laurine ) Hubbard, Mrs. R. R. (Mildred) Patterson, Mrs. Hazel Thomson, Louise Bechtel, Mrs. D. J. (Eileen) Johnson and Mrs. Charles (Jessie) Wagner, all of Galt; one son, Herbert of Prince George, B.C.., one sister, Mrs. Norman Dedels, Breslau; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at Little's Funeral Home, where funeral and committal services will be conducted Friday, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Mount View cemetery.

    WAGNER, Jessie (Bechtel)

    Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Country Manor on Sunday December 22, 2013 at the age of 79. Loving wife of the late Charles Sr. Beloved mother of Charles Jr., James (Elsie), Jeffrey (Charlene). Cherished grandmother of Brian, Michael, Steven, Wesley, Aaron, Amy and Christopher and great grandmother of Mathew and Lily. Dear sister of Loreen Hubbard, Eileen Johnson and Herb Bechtel (Iris). Jessie will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Jessie was predeceased by her granddaughter Kelly and sisters Mildred, Hazel and Louise. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held in Cambridge on Saturday January 11th. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
