Schnarr, Irene Alberta - Passed away, at The Village of Winston Park, on Tuesday, August 3, 2004, in her 95th year. Irene was born on August 9, 1909 in Waterloo to George Marth and Anne Schmidt. She was married to her beloved husband, Arnold on July 2, 1928. They were blessed with two children, Richard and Joan. Along with her husband, they owned and operated the Darlene Beauty Salon on Belmont Boulevard in Kitchener for 49 years. Irene is predeceased by her loving husband, Arnold, who passed away in December, 2000. She is the dear mother of Richard and his wife Fern and Joan and her husband Douglas Martz, all of Waterloo. Grandmother of Karin Schnarr and Philip Schnarr, Debbie Melanson and her husband Edgar, Cheryl Brown and her husband Paul and James Martz and his wife Wanda. Great-grandmother of Jesse and Sean Melanson, Jason Brown and his wife Tiffany, Ryan, Dylan, and Shayna Martz. Great-great-grandmother of Julia Brown. Besides her parents and husband, Irene was predeceased by her brother, Walter Marth and sisters, Frieda Nutter and Hilda McNaughton. Visitation will be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Saturday, August 7 from 10-11 a.m., followed by the funeral and committal service in the chapel at 11 a.m., with Rev. Doug Kranz officiating. Reception will follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. Private family interment in Woodland Cemetery.
