Bender.- William, son of David R. and Barbara (Wagler) Bender, was born in East Zorra Twp., Ont., Apr. 10, 1908; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Oct. 15, 1988; aged 80 y. On Oct. 3, 1933, he was married to Mabel Baechler, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter (Reta Wagler), 3 sons (Earl, Verle, and Ray), 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, one brother (Lorne), and 2 sisters (Fannie Lichti and Mary Ann Ruby). He was preceded in death by one son (Glen) and one sister (Alma). He was a member of Hillcrest Mennonite Church.

Died At the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital on Thursday, January 2nd, 1941, Glen William Bender Infant Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bender Aged 1 month less 1 day. The Funeral Will take place from the residence of his parents, Huron Road, Wilmot, on Saturday, January 4th, at 1.30 o'clock p.m., to the 16th Line A.-M. Church and Cemetery, East Zorra. This lovely bud, so young and fair, Called hence by early doom, Just came to show how sweet a flower In paradise can bloom.
