    Gimbel, Ada, daughter of Daniel and Hannah (Shantz) Cressman, was born in Chesterfield, Ont., Oct. 1, 1884; died at the Spruce Haven Nursing Home, Hespler, Ont., Aug. 29, 1972; aged 87 y. 10 m. 28 d. On Jan. 14, 1920, she was married to Irvin Gimbel, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Howard, Kennard, and Oren), 2 daughters (Ruth - Mrs. Rex Weber and Helen - Mrs. Urias Martin), 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Breslau Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Aug. 31, in charge of Simeon W. Hurst; interment in adjoining cemetery.

    WEBER, Ruth Elaine - Passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on Monday, February 11, 2008 at Trinity Village Care Centre, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Rex Weber for 57 years. Dear mother of Rick and his wife Janet of Ottawa, Donald of Kitchener, Murray of Toronto and Joy Carriere and her husband Leo of Kitchener. Dear grandmother of Bobby Anderson. Great-grandmother to Mia Skwarko. Dear sister of Howard Gimbel (Carol) and Ken Gimbel (Isabel). Predeceased by brother, Oren Gimbel and sisters, Helen Martin and Verda Gimbel. Ruth will be remembered by her many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was a member of Breslau Mennonite Church and lived her whole life in Breslau. A private family service will take place on Wednesday (today), February 13, 2008 in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home followed by a reception. Rev. Joan Lee of Trinity Village Care Centre officiating. Cremation has taken place. The cremated remains will be interred at Breslau Mennonite Cemetery at a later date. In recognition of Ruth's many years of dedicated service to MCC, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home or by calling 519-749-8467).
