    Bowman, Tobias, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Dec. 6, 1892; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Jan. 23, 1968; aged 75 y. 1 m. 17 d. Surviving are his wife (Sybilla), one daughter (Dorothy), one son (Robert G.), 2 brothers (a twin, Aaron, and Weston), and 2 sisters (Mrs. Minerva Rosenberger and Annie). He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, Ont., where funeral services were held Jan. 25, with Robert N. Johnson and F. W. Zinck officiating

    TOBIAS BOWMAN

    Tobias Bowman, Kitchener died January 23 at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief Illness. He was 75.

    Bom in Wilmot Township Dec. 6, 1892, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Bowman. He has been a Twin City resident for the past 44 years, he was a member of First Mennonlte Church and had been employed by the Kitchener Coal Co. Ltd. for 40 years before his retirement in 1962.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Sybilla Schweitzer, whom he married in Kitchener Dec. 19, 1917; one son, Robert G. of Kitchener; one daughter, Dorothy, also of Kitchener; two brothers, a twin, Aaron, and Weston, both of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Minerva Rosenherger of Nipiwan, Sask., and Annie of Kitchener, and two grandchildren.

    The service was held at First Mennonite Church Kitchener, Thursday afternoon. Rev. Robert N. Johnson, minister of the church, and Rev. F.W. Zinck, pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, officiated. Temporary entombment was made in Woodland mausoleum, and burial will follow in First Mennonite Cemetery.

    Tobias married Sybilla Schweitzer 19 Dec 1917, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Sybilla (daughter of Samuel Schweitzer and Barbara Cressman) was born 1891, Waterloo City, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 1977; was buried , First Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     Bowman, Robert (Bob)

    Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Sunnyside Home, at the age of 89.

    Beloved husband and best friend of Eileen (nee Weltz) Bowman for 65 years. Cherished father of Alan (Gabriel Leung) and Christine Morrison (Brent) of Victoria, B.C. Grandfather of Steven (Jaclyn), David and Scott. Brother of Dorothy Bowman.

    Bob sang in the St. Matthews Lutheran Church Choir for over 61 years.

    Bob's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A service to celebrate Bob's life will take place on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church (54 Benton St., Kitchener) at 11 a.m.

    Reception immediately following the service.

    Interment Williamsburg Cemetery.

    Expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Kitchener-Waterloo, St. Matthews Lutheran Church or Sunnyside Home would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).

    Passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights Long Term Care on Thursday April 10, 2014 in her 90th year. Beloved daughter of the late Tobias and Sybilla Bowman. Predeceased by her brother Robert Bowman. Dear sister-in-law of Eileen. Loving aunt of Al Bowman (Gabriel Leung) and Christine (Brent Morrison) and great aunt of Steven (Jaclyn), David and Scott.

    Dorothy's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Monday April 14, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow. Interment First Mennonite Cemetery.
