MARTIN, Leah (Mrs. Philip S.) - Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 30, 2009 at Leisureworld Care Centre, Elmira. Leah (Rudy) Martin age 90 years of Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Philip S. Martin (1969). Dear mother of Alvin and Ruth Martin of New Hamburg, Aaron and Loretta Martin of Elmira, Naomi and Nevelle de'Rozario of Kitchener, Armand and Virginia Martin of Goshen, Indiana, Vera and Elmer Martin of Bowmanville, Elma and Tim Freed of London, Margaret and Jim Fisher of Goshen, Indiana, Nora Martin and Steve McInnis of Woodstock, Herb and Wanda Martin of St. Jacobs. Also survived by her 27 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Sister of Nancy Rudy of St. Jacobs, Menno and Elsie Rudy of Waterloo, Sidney and Dorothy Rudy of St. Jacobs, Malinda Rudy of St. Jacobs, Lydia Bowman of Listowel. Predeceased by her parents Aaron and Sarah (Martin) Rudy, her son Omar (2002), three brothers Cyrus and two in infancy, three sisters Susannah, Barbara Bowman and Salome Martin. The family will receive their friends and relatives at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Monday, November 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church on Tuesday, November 3rd at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mark Diller Harder and Pastor Wendy Janzen officiating followed by interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

FISHER, Margaret Martin Goshen, Indiana, 61, slipped away peacefully Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Elkhart General Hospital, after receiving a cancer diagnosis in November. She was born October 11, 1952 in St. Jacobs, Ontario, to Philip S. and Leah Rudy Martin. On May 17, 1975, she married James E. Fisher in Winston-Salem, N.C. He survives along with two children, Melissa (David Fast) Fisher Fast, Elkhart, Indiana, and Matthew (Hannah Gustafson) Fisher, Vancouver, B.C.; two grandchildren, Micah and Annelise Fast; eight siblings, Alvin (Ruth) Martin, Dutton, Ontario, Aaron (Loretta) Martin, Elmira, Ontario, Naomi (Nevelle) De'Rozario, Kitchener, Ontario, Armand (Ginny) Martin, Goshen, Vera (Elmer) Martin, Bowmanville, Ontario, Elma (Tim) Freed, London, Ontario, Nora (Steve McInnis) Martin, Woodstock, Ontario, and Herb (Wanda) Martin, St. Jacobs, Ontario; a sister-in-law, Lynne Martin, Winnipeg, Manitoba; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Omar Martin. Friends may call 3 to 5 p.m. and 6: 30 to 8: 30 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service at Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen. An 11: 00 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Saturday at Waterford Mennonite Church. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
