Mrs. George Schaefer
In the death of Mrs. George Schaefer early this morning Waterloo equaty lost one of its oldest permanent residents. Mrs. Schaefer succumbed at the home of her daughter Mrs. Herb Stuebing, Erbsville, after a lingering illness. The deceased was in her 84th year. Born in Wellesley county in 1844, Mrs. Schaefer moved to Erbsville shortly after. where she had resided ever since. Following the death of her husband two years ago she has been living with her daughter Mrs. Herb Stueb ing. Possessed of a kind and genial genial, disposition the deceased had won a large circle of friends who will mourn her. passing. Mrs. Louis Allensen died Saturday afternoon at her home near Heidelberg where she was born and where she had resided all her life. She was in her 89th year. She had been ill for some time.
Her husband predeceased her eight years ago, and she is survived by two sons, George of Saskatchewan and Otto at home, and by three daughters, Mrs. V. Otterbein Sr. of Heidelberg, Mrs. Henry Euler, Kitchener and Clara Allensen at home. Eleven grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, also survive.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock from the residence to Heidelberg Lutheran church for service at 3 o'clock. The remains will be interred at Heideberg cemetery.

Quite a number of friends and relatives assembled at the home of Mrs. Louis Allenson last Wednesday afternoon, it being the occasion of her eighty-fifth birthday. Among those who attended were Rev. and Mrs. Lamack. JACOB HEIMPEL PASSES AT LOCAL HOSPITAL
The death occurred yesterday afternoon of Jacob Heimpel, of Erbsville, at the Kitchener and Waterloo Hospital where he had been seriously ill for nearly three weeks. Mr. Heimpel was in his 64th year and was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran church, Erbsville and was one of its most faithful attendants.
He leaves to mourn a wife and two sons and two daughters, as follows: Angus of Heidelberg, Alvin at home, Melinda (Mrs. Philip Conrad) Erbsville and Kate at home.
The funeral will take place Sunday morning at 9:30 from his late residence in Erbsville to St. Peter's Lutheran church for service and interment at the Erbsville cemetery.
Mr. Heimpel was well known in Waterloo and the surrounding countryside. His jovial good nature winning many friends for him, for he always had a smile and it was said of him that he could laugh more than any other man in the surrounding country.

WELLESLEY. - Henry Heimpel, 81, of Wellesley, died Tuesday at the home of his son-in-law, Clayton Miller. He was born in Heidelberg but lived for 23 years in Baden, moving to Wellesley in June of this year. He was a carpenter by trade. His wife, nee Margaret Huehn, predeceased him four years ago.
Surviving are one son, Oscar, of Kitchener, and one daughter, Mrs. Miller of Wellesley, two brothers, Conrad and Anthony of Waterloo.
A public funeral service will be held from the Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, at 2 p.m. Friday and thence to St James' Lutheran Church, Baden. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Baden. Rev. Mr. Friedrichsen will officiate.

VALENTINE HEIMPEL
The death of Valentine Heimpel, 74, occurred yesterday afternoon at his home, 87 Church street, after an liness of two weeks. Mr. Heimgel, who formerly farmed in the St. Clements district, resided in Waterloo and later in Kitchener for the past eight years.
Surviving are one son. Norman of Kitchener, two grandchildren, three brothers. Anton and Conrad of Waterloo and Henry of Baden, and one sister, Miss Kate Heimpel of Waterloo.
The funeral will be held from the Letter and Dreisinger Funeral Home. Waterloo, on Saturday at 2 pm, followed by services at Heidelberg Lutheran church at 245 p.m. Interment will take place in the Heidelberg Cemetery. Rev. Karl Knauff will officiate.

Well Known Resident Predeceased by Wife Two Months Ago.
Mr. George Heimpel, a well known and highly esteemed resident of this community passed away at his home Monday evening at seven o'clock. He was in his seventy-first year. Although the late Mr. Heimpel had been ill for several years death came quite suddenly at the end, the result of a heart attack.
There survive two daughters, Edith (Mrs. John Bowman) of New Hamburg, Minnie (Mrs. Wm. H. Egerdee) of New Dundee, four sons, Louis Heimpel, of MacDonald College, Quebec, Gordon and Edward of Windsor, Wellington at home, two step-sons, Irvin Stoltz of near Waterloo, Oliver Stoltz of near Plattsville, and one step-daughter, Ennetta (Mrs. Bert Maim) of Glenboro, Man. Also surviving are four brothers, Henry Heimpel of Baden, Valentine, Conrad and Anton of Waterloo, and one sister, Miss Katie Heimpel, near Heidelberg, 28 grand-children and two great-grand-children.
Mr. Heimpel's wife predeceased him only two months ago. The funeral will be held on Friday at two o'clock from his residence to Mannheim Lutheran Church for service. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery with Rev. Wm. Nolting in charge of the services.

The death of William Helmpel occurred at his late residence, Heidelberg last evening in his 51st year after an illness of about two weeks. He was born in Heidelberg and lived all his life on the homestead. Mr. Helmpel was a member of the Heidelberg Lutheran church, having been on the board of trustees for the past three years. William H. Schaefer, wellknown resident of Heidelberg, passed away Tuesday as the result of a stroke suffered Friday. He was born at Erbsville 74 years ago. For the past 48 years he resided on his farm at Heidelberg.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Julius Scholl, Kitchener, Edna, Kitchener, and Nelda, at home; one brother, Herman. Erbsville; and two sisters, Mrs. William Sattler, Waterloo, and Mrs. Herb Doering. Erbsville. Two grandchildren also survive.
The remains are resting at the Letter and Dreisinger Funeral Home, Waterloo, until Friday morning when they will be removed to his home at Heidelberg. Service will be held at his home at two o'clock Friday to be followed at 2.30 by service in Heidelberg Lutheran Church. Interment will be made in Heidelberg Cemetery.

Mrs. Louisa Sattler
Mrs. Louisa Sattler, 85, 49 Euclid Ave., Waterloo, died Saturday at her home following a lengthy illness. She had resided in Waterloo 35 years. where she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
The former Louisa Schaefer, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Schaefer of Erbsville. Her husband, William, predeceased her in 1911.
Surviving are two sons, Oscar and Edgar of Waterloo; two daughters, Miss Edith Sattler and Mrs. Frederick (Violet) Lenz of Waterloo: a sister, Mrs. Sophia Doering of Erbsville: three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo. where services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., with Rev. A. L. Conrad in charge. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery

A lifelong resident of Erbsville and a member of a pioneer family, Mrs. Doering had played at 4000 services. Her family donated the land for St. Paul's the year before her birth. On her 81st birthday she recalled the replacement of the hand-pumped organ (1939) and of the oil lamp by electricity.

HEIDELBERG, Nov. 6 - Mrs. Louise Otterbein, 66, died yesterday at her home here following a lengthy illness. She was a member of St. Peters' Lutheran church and the Ladies' Aid Society. Deceased was born at Heidelberg Dec. 27, 1873, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Allensen. Her husband, Valentine Otterbein, predeceased her in 1932.
Surviving are four sons, Valentine of Waterloo, Eckhardt and Arthur of Heidelberg and Jacob of Kitchener, five daughters, Mrs. E. Krauter, Mrs. Milton Koch and Mrs. William Kuhn, all of Heidelberg, Mrs. Gertrude Vannier of Waterloo and Miss Cassima Otterbein at home, two brothers, Otto Allensen of Heidelberg and George Allensen of Saskatoon, Sask., and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Euler of Kitchener and Miss Clara Allensen of Heidelberg. 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 2: 30 o'clock at St. Peter's Lutheran church, Heidelberg, with Rev. Karl Knauff officiating. Burial will be in the Heidelberg cemetery. Remains will rest at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, Kitchener, until Thursday at 9 a.m. when they will be removed to her residence.

MISS MARY ANN ALLENSEN - HEIDELBERG, Dec. 13. - The death of Miss Mary Ann Allensen occurred at the family residence near Heidelberg early this morning. Miss Allensen, who had been ill for about two weeks, was in her 53rd year. She was born on the farm at which she died. Surviving are her aged mother, two brothers, George of Saskatoon and Otto of Heidelberg, and three sisters. Mrs. Val Otterbein Sr., of Heidelberg, Mrs. Henry Euler of Kitchener and Miss Clara Allensen at home. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, thence to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, for service at 2: 30. Burial will be made at the Heidelberg Lutheran cemetery.

Heidelberg - Angus Heimpel, 74, of Heidelberg, died in K-W Hospital Friday after a brief illness. Mr. Heimpel farmed at RR 1, Bamberg, for 42 years until he moved to Heidelberg eight years ago.
He was born Nov. 30, 1893, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Heimpel of Wellesley Township.
Surviving besides his wife, the former Minerva Jacobi, are a son Walter of RR 1, Bamberg, a daughter Mrs. Helen Shippanowski of Waterloo, a brother Alvin of Erbsville and nine grandchildren. Two sisters predeceased him.
The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener. Service will be conducted Monday at 3 pm by Rev. Arthur Horst at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, where Mr. Heimpel was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

WELLESLEY\emdash Mrs. George Dietz, 61, of Wellesley, died suddenly Saturday at K-W Hospital after surgery. She had been ill for some time.
She was the former Catharine Heimpel and was born in Wellesley Township Sept. 29, 1902, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Heimpel.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley.
Surviving are her husband, whom she married in 1930 in Kitchener; two brothers, Alvin of RR 3, Waterloo and Angus of Heidelberg. One sister predeceased her.
The body will be at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon Tuesday when removal will be made to St. Paul's Church where the funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. by Rev. Ronald Reisdorf. Temporary entombment in St. Paul's Cemetery Chapel will be followed by burial in the church cemetery.

ALLEN HEIMPEL VICTIM OF GAS POISONING
A victim of gas poisoning and heart seizure, Allan Heimpel, owner of a garage at Five Points, Lancaster St. E., Kitchener, passed away at the St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday, Jan. 8th, in his 44th year. Mr. Heimpel had been in ill health for some time, suffering from monoxide poisoning through the constant working around motor cars with motor running.
The funeral was held on Tuesday with service conducted by Christian Science Church officials. The remains rested at Ratz & Bechtel Funeral Home until Saturday.
The late Allen Heimpel was born in Wellesley, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Heimpel, now of Baden.
There survive his parents, wife, four sons and four daughters, Margaret, Mrs. Fred MacLeod, Allen, Eugena, Gertrude, Wilfred, Dora, Goldwin and Walter at home; also one brother, Oscar Heimpel, Kitch- ener, and one sister, Mrs, Clayton Miller, Baden.

Man Injured By Runaway Horse Dies
Struck down by a runaway milk-wagon horse on July 24, Norman Heimpel, 56, of 200 Benton St., died of injuries today in Toronto General Hospital.
The horse, in its headlong flight through the city, bowled Mr. Heimpel over at King and Victoria Streets, and the wagon wheels passed over him.
Suffered Skull Fracture
He was admitted to hospital suffering a skull fracture and face cuts.
In that same dash, the bolting horse fled from the corner of King and Mt. Hope Streets and clipped three cars as well as striking Mr. Heimpel before coming to a halt.
Born Dec, 21, 1893, at Hesson Road, Mr. Heimpel was a son of the late Valentine Heimpel and the former Elizabeth Heinrich.
He was employed at Merchants Rubber factory here. He attended St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Family Survives Besides his wife, the former Elma Huehn, whom he married at Heidelberg on Feb. 24„1914, he Is survived by one son, Oliver of Kitchener; and one daughter, Mrs. Alex (Elsie) Fehrenbach, also of Kitchener; and one granddaughter.
Private funeral service for the relatives will be held Monday, 1:45 p.m., at the Schreiter Sand-rock Funeral Home with public service in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dr. H. T. Lehmann officiating. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery. The body is resting at the funeral home.

Injuries By Horse Prove Fatal To Man
Norman Heimpel, 56, of 200 Benton St., Kitchener, died of injuries late last week, which he received last July 24, from a run- away horse. He was in Toronto General hospital since the accident, suffering from skull fracture and face cuts.
The horse, drawing a milk wagon bolted from King and Mt. Hope Streets, clipping three cars, and running down Heimpel, before stopping. Surviving are his wife, the former Elma Hueuhn of Heidelberg: a son Oliver of Kitchener; a daughter, Mrs. Alex (Elsie) Fehrenbach, Kitchener, and one grand- daughter.

Jack Heimpel, of Kitchener, son of the late John and Amelia Heimpel (Ziegler). Beloved husband of Elmina (nee Jacky) who passed away July 1994, having celebrated 63 years of marriage. Loving and devoted father of William and Katherine Heimpel of Port Lambton and Carol and Tomohiro Okamura of Osaka, Japan. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Christopher and Valerie Heimpel. Dear brother of Delphine Schwantz of Kitchener.
Predeceased by one brother, Harold and his wife Dolly; one sister, Annette and husband Norman Ziegler and brother-in-law, William Schwantz.
Jack was a faithful and devoted member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and enjoyed in later years, the Golden Hours broadcast, an avid hunter and fisherman and a retired employee of J. M. Schneider and the Twenty Five Year Club.
Family will receive relatives and friends at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, (742-4481), 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, today (Saturday) and Sunday form 2-4 and 7-9 pm. On noon Monday, transfer will be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church for a celebration of Jack's life at 2 pm, Rev. Shirley Ruller officiating. Interment St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.

Survived by his wife the former Dorothy Heipel; one son, Wayne and his wife Reta of St. Agatha; one sister, Marie Heimpel of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Denice and her husband Dave Prokowich of Waterloo, Paul, Lacie and Patricia and also by two great-grandchildren, William and Blake. He was predeceased by two brothers.
The late Mr. Heimpel will be resting at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 7-9 pm and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. On Saturday morning, removal will be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wellesley, for a memorial service at 11 am. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. William Minke will officiate, assisted by Murray Heimpel.

MARIE K. HEIMPEL 1914 - 2006
After a long and full life, Marie died, on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre in Waterloo. She was 91.
She is survived by her loving niece Marilyn Ogram and her husband Bruce of Elmira and their family.
She was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by three brothers; Bill and his wife Edna, Addison and his wife Dorothy, one in infancy and her parents, Salome (Schmitt) and William Heimpel.
Marie was a longtime and faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo and the ELW. For many years, she worked as a hairdresser at Zarnke Hair Salon in Kitchener and then was self employed. Marie loved to travel to many destinations around the world with her friends and relatives.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Marie with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, today (Thursday) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The service to celebrate Marie's life and faith will be held at in (sic) the chapel of St. John's Lutheran Church, on Friday, September 15, 2006, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Val Henning officiating. Immediately following the service, friends and relatives are invited to remain at the church for refreshments and a time to visit. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Erbsville.

LINWOOD, Oct. 18.-Mrs. Alvin Dammeier, 53, of R.R. 3, Wallenstein, near Linwood, died suddenly today at her residence, the result of a stroke. Born Aug. 25, 1893, in Heidelberg, she was the daughter of Mrs. Louis Sattler of Waterloo and the late William Sattler. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood, and a member of the Ladies' Aid Society of that church.
In Heidelberg, on March 12, 1919, she married Alvin Dammeier, who survives, in addition to her mother, a son, Earl, at home, two brothers, Oscar and Edgar Sattler, both of Waterloo, and two sisters, Mrs. Frederick Lenz and Miss Edith Sattler, also of Waterloo. One granddaughter also survives.
Funeral service will be conducted from the home, near Linwood, on Monday at two p.m. followed by service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood, at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be made in Linwood (St. Peter's) Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. W. J. Goos, pastor of the church, will officiate. Remains are resting at the Ratz0Bechtel Funeral Home until four p.m. Saturday when removal will be made to the home.

Funeral service took place Thursday at St. John's Lutheran church, Waterloo, for Oscar Sattler of Kitchener. He died Tuesday at K-W hospital.
Rev. A. L. Conrad officiated. Burial was in Heidelberg Lutheran cemetery.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sattler, he was born in Heidelberg and lived in the twin cities for the past 50 years. He was retired for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, the former Viola Schaus and two sisters, Mrs. Frederick (Violet) Lenz and Edith, both of Waterloo. He was predeceased by one sister and one brother.

John Zimmerman
A former Waterloo building contractor, John Zimmerman, North St., died early today at the K-W Hospital at the age of 64. He had been ill a month. He retired four years ago from the contracting business. Born in Bamberg Sept. 3, 1887, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zimmerman. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo.
Surviving are his wife, the former Caroline Brown; two sons, Carl at home and Milton of Waterloo; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Florence) Aikens, Windsor, and Mrs. Vernon (Gertrude) Maurer, Elmira; one brother, Harold, Kitchener, and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2: 30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Parish Hall, Waterloo, with Rev. A. L. Conrad, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery. Erbsville, Feb. 13 -- The death occurred suddenly at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, late Friday night, of Mrs. Ed. Schott, of this place. Deceased had been ill for only a few days. She was a daughter of late Mr. and Mrs. Hy. Zimmerman and was 40 years of age.
Her husband survives with two daughters, Hilda and Eva, four sons, Irvin, Clifford, Howard and Harley all at home. One sister, Mrs. Milton Hehn of Kitchener, and five brothers, John Zimmerman, Waterloo, Norman and Harold Zimmerman, near Wellesley, Clayton and George of the Twin City, also survive.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from her late residence, one mile north of Erbsville, to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment will be made in the Erbsville cemetery. Rev. Mr. Lamack will be in charge of services.

Beloved husband of Grace (nee Scoble); dear father of Joy and her husband Marvin Smith of Rexdale, Ont, Survived by five grandchildren, Walter Skinner, Norma Skinner Lewsink, Michael Smith, Scott and David Robertson and a great-granddaughter, Cassandra Robertson. Also survived by a son-in-law, Norman Skinner of Cambridge (Preston) and a niece Mrs. Betty Huehn of Blair and a brother-in-law, Frank Leal. Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Lydia Kraft; a daughter, Jane Skinner; a grandson, Mark Smith; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Good and Mrs. Ruby Leal and one brother, Herman. Mr. Kraft's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, today (Monday), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., then transfer to St. John's Lutheran Chapel on Tuesday at 12 noon, for funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel, Rev. Eric Weber officiating. Interment St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery.

She was predeceased by a brother, Valentine, and two sisters, Mrs. Cassima Steinback and Mrs. Mary Kuhn.
The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel funeral Home until 11 am Wednesday when removal will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, for the service at 3 pm. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Heidelberg, Rev. Arthur Horst, pastor of the church, will officiate.

MRS. EMMERSON KRAUTER
HEIDELBERG - Mrs. Emmeson J. Kreuter, a lifelong Heidelberg resident, died Sunday at K-W Hospital. She was 72.
The former Adelphine (Addie) Otterbein, she was born April 12, 1895, in Heidelberg, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Otterbein. She was a member St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg.
Surviving are her husband, to whom she was married June 34, 1920, in Heidelberg; two sons, Roy of Kitchener and Clifford of Waterloo two daughters Mrs. Wilfred (Marie) Lindner of Kitchener and Mrs. William (Erlaa) of Bridgeport; three brothers, Eckert of RR 1, Waterloo; Arthur of Waterloo and Jacob of London. Ont.; two sisters, Mrs. Milton (Barbara) Kuchi and Mrs. Gertrude Vanier, both of Waterloo, and nine grandchildren.
