The Funeral Will take place from the residence of her brother, Alexander Gourlay, Piper Street, Ayr, on Wednesday, August 20th, at 2.30 p.m. to the Ayr Cemetery.     Mrs. Murdo Lillico

    Native of Blenheim Township Passes in Her 80th year

    The death took place in Hamilton on Sunday, August 17, after a lingering illness, of Mrs. Murdo Lillico, in her 80th year.

    Mrs. Lillico, whose maiden name was Margaret Helen Gourlay, was a daughter of Andrew Gourlay and Jane Armstrong. She was born in Blenheim Township. After her marriage to Mr. Lillico, she resided on the 11th concession, on the groom's farm, now owned by Hugh Guthrie. She and her husband moved to Ayr and resided here until her husband's death three years ago, when she was removed to Hamilton Hospital. A daughter, Mrs. Clifford Main, predeceased her a number of years ago.

    She was a member of Knox United Church: also of the King's Daughters' Auxiliary and the Women's Association.

    Surviving are two sisters. Mrs. E. S. Boddy, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, and Miss Jessie, Ayr, and four brothers, George D; Gourlay, Paris; James A. Gourlay Willow Bunch, Sask.; Peter L. Gourlay and Alex Gourlay. Ayr.

    The funeral took place this (Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 from the residence of her brother. Alex Gourlay, to the Ayr Cemetery.

    Mrs. Clifford T. Main

    The death occurred suddenly in Woodstock Hospital on Monday at 8 p.m., of Jessie Isabelle Lillico, beloved wife of Clifford T. Main, 10th Concession of Blenheim, aged thirty years. Deceased was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murdo Lillico, and was born and had resided all her lifetime on the farm now occupied by her husband. She was of a bright, cheerful disposition and made hosts of friends, all of whom will greatly regret her untimely demise. She was a member of Knox United Church and took an active interest in the work of the church, being a member of the choir, and also several of the women's organizations. She was also a member of the Women's Institute. Her husband and parents will have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. The funeral takes place to the Ayr Cemetery (this Thursday) afternoon.
