GRASSER (Ella) At the Kitchener Waterloo Hospital Dec. 5, 172, after brief illness Ella Herner of 163 Ottawa St. N.; age 70 years born in Wilmont Township near Mannheim a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Herner; a Twin City area resident all her life and a member of United Church; wife of Harvey Grasser; mother of Vernon of Nicaragua and Ted Grasser of Kitchener; grandmother of Jane and Terry of Kitchener, Wayne of Halifax and David of Calgary; four great- grandchildren also survive; sister of Mabel Herner and Phebe (Mrs. Irvin Bowman) both of Kitchener; predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, afternoon on Wednesday. Funeral and committal service in the chapel, Thursday at 2 pm with Rev. P. J. Roberts and Rev. G. F. Barthel officiating. Interment in Woodland cemetery Donations to the memorial fund of the church may be made as expressions of sympathy.

Saturday, December 23rd, 1922 - Sunday, April 4th, 2021

Passed away peacefully at home, with his daughter Jane by his side, on April 4, 2021 at the age of 98.

Beloved Husband of the late Joyce Grasser (Krueger) for 74 years.

Loving Father of Jane Grasser and the late Terry Grasser (1998).

He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Ted was a kind, thoughtful, compassionate, fun- loving person with a good sense of humour. He was a Veteran serving in Brantford, Ontario with the Canadian Air Force. In his younger days Ted played left wing for the Hockey Teams such as Brantford No. 5 (S.F.T.S), Hamilton Pats, Green Shirts, and The K-W Flying Dutchman.

Ted was a dedicated and hardworking Fuel Oil Distributor with Imperial Oil for 34 years. He enjoyed sailing and windsurfing at his cottage during the summers at French Bay. Ted was a long time active member of Zion United Church.

Cherished son of the late, former Kitchener Police Chief Harvey Grasser and Ella (Herner). Dear brother of the late Vernon (Lyle) Grasser.

A private family service will take place on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A private burial will take place on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener, ON.
