Death of R. G. Patterson - The sudden passing in Toronto on Sunday of Robert G. Patterson proved a great shock to his many Ayr friends and acquaintances. Deceased was a native of this village, being a son of the late William Patterson, and was 54 years of age. He was a traveler for the Rennie Seed Company for many years and never missed an opportunity of visiting the village of his birth where he was much esteemed. He last visited Ayr some three or four weeks ago when he appeared to be in poor health, caused, it is said, by injuries he received in a train wreck some months ago. Besides his widow and one son, Cameron, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Allan, Galt, and Mrs. C. McAllister, in the Southern States. There are also a number of more distant relatives in this community. The funeral took place by motor from Toronto on Tuesday to the Ayr Cemetery.
