Gordon H. Strome

Widely known in the painting and decorating trade, Gordon Hugh Strome, 14 Edward street, passed away today at K-W Hospital. Former owner of the old Strome Decorating Company. Mr. Strome, who was in his 39th year, had been ill for the last 11 months. Mr Strome was born in Kitchener, a son of Mr. Menno Strome and his wife the late Anna Peppler. He was married to Goldie Manser. He was a member of the K-W Kiwanis Club. Surviving, in addition to his father are his wife, one son, Arthur, three daughters, Marjorie, Myrtle and Jessie, all at home, as well as three brothers, Walter, city, Harold of Toronto, Louis in Bloomington, Ill. and four sisters, Mrs. J. Knipfel, Toronto, Mrs. R. Perry, Lockport N.Y., Mrs. G. Larouix, Windsor and Mrs. E. Snider, Toronto. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon, from the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home at 3 p m. Interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery. Rev. C. A. Hirschman and Rev. G. F. Barthel will have charge, the remains will be at the funeral home.

At K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Wednesday, May 22, 1996, age 70 years, of Waterloo. Mrs. Wagner was a member of Zion United Church, Kitchener. Beloved wife of James Arthur Wagner. Dear mother of James and his wife Mardi of London, Jon and his wife Deborah of Brechin, William of Oakville and Bradley and his wife Wendy of Kitchener. Dearest grandmother of Benjamin, Christopher, Matthew and Jacob. Sister of Mrs. Jessie Windsor of Waterloo and Art and his wife Veronica Strome of Kitchener. Sister-in-law of William Hopp of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Goldie Strome and her step-father, Werner Kraus and a sister, Marjorie Hopp. A public memorial service will be held at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Tim Windsor officiating. Cremation.
