Mrs. Joseph Dunbrook, Sr.
The death occurred early today of Mrs. Joseph Dunbrook Sr., 80, of 119 Waterloo St., in St. Mary's Hospital, after a brief illness. Mrs. Dunbrook, the former Catherine Ludwig, was born in Hawkesville, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ludwig. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Her marriage to Joseph Dunbrook, who survives, took place in Cleveland, Ohio, May 13, 1891. She is also survived by one brother Alex Ludwig of Kitchener, one daughter Mrs. John (Veronica) Willson of Kitchener and 11 sons, Edward, Emil, Joseph Jr., Herbert, Alex, Jerome, Emerson, Randall, all of Kitchener, Harold and Charles of Toronto and William of Madison, Wis. Twenty-three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, with prayers at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home at 9: 30 a.m. and then at Sacred Heart Church for requiem high mass at 10 a.m. with Rev. James Casey officiating. The rosary will be said at the funeral home Friday at p.m. The body is at the funeral home.

Edward J. Dunbrook
Edward J. Dunbrook, a life-long resident of Kitchener, died today at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 79. He was a shoe merchant in Kitchener for many years until retiring in 1963. He was a member of St. Mary's RC Church. A bachelor, he was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dunbrook and by two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are nine brothers, Emil, Harold, Alex, Herbert, Jerome and Randolph, all of Kitchener, Joseph and Emmerson, both of Waterloo and Charles of East York; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Veronica) Willson of Kitchener and Mrs. Ernst (June) Kieswetter of Waterloo. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Monday, at 9: 30 a.m., followed by removal to the church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Committal service will be at Woodland mausoleum, with burial to follow in the family plot at Mount Hope cemetery.

Passed away peacefully at Trinity Village Care Centre, Kitchener, on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, with his family by his side. Ward Joseph Dunbrook, aged 94 years. Loving father to Nancy and her husband David Cattanach and Bill and his wife Jill all of Waterloo, beloved grandpa to Michael and Jeff Cattanach and Carson and Spencer Dunbrook, brother to Owen and his wife Bette of Kitchener and Cleo Featherstone of London, best friend to Bernie Schilling of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents Emil Dunbrook and Isabel Voisin and his wife the former Madeline Arnold in 1999, one son Robert, in infancy, in 1949, one brother Jack and one sister Mary Pawelko. Ward was a member of St. Anne's Church and had owned and operated Central Sports and Tobacco Shop Ltd., retiring in 1973. He was a life member of the Pioneer Sportsmen Club, a life member of Waterloo County Revolver Club, a member of the Bamberg Game Farm, the Rockway Golf and Country Club and a 40 year member of the United Commercial Travellers Club. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., where parish prayers will be said at 8: 45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10: 00 a.m. from St. Anne's Church with Father Peter Meyer officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre and donations may be made to the Cardiac Unit at St. Mary's Hospital or the K-W Alzheimer Society, as expressions of sympathy through the Funeral Home.

Owen Bern Dunbrook 1923-2018
Owen passed away peacefully at his residence, Columbia Forest Long Term Care in Waterloo, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in his 95th year.
He is together again with his beloved wife Elizabeth L. Carmichael (2017). Loving father of Alan, Kevin (Karen) and Greg (Pauline) and grandfather of Adam and Alexander. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours and acquaintances.
Predeceased by his parents Emil and Isabelle (Voisin) Dunbrook, brothers Ward and John (Jack), and sisters Mary and Cleo.
Owen was a 50-year employee of The Forsyth Shirt Company and a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kitchener.

The Dunbrook family will receive relatives and friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a procession to Sacred Heart RC Church, 66 Shanley Street, Kitchener for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
