    Peacefully, at her home, in Cambridge, on Wednesday, April 30, 1997, Shirley Main, loving wife of Wilfred; proud mother of Ray and his wife Debbie Main, Teresa and her husband Ross Bechtel, Cathy and her husband John Derschner, Neil and his wife Donna Main, and Glen and his wife Karen Main. Second mother to Brenda and her husband Rick Sanderson, Sandra and her husband Stan Grummett, Karen and her husband Brian Gilmour and Mary and her husband Dan Johnson. Grandmother of Christopher, Peter, Geoffrey, Daniel, Angela, Ryan, Adam, Sarah, Ethan, Chelsey, Jenny, Susan, Stacey, Stephanie, Samuel, Brett, Bryce, Kayley and Graydon. Dear sister of Betty St. Croix, Donald Poore, Isabel Gambling, George Poore, Margaret King, Jacqueline Hill and Larry Poore. Predeceased by her parents, John and Myrtle Poore; her three brothers, Philip, Harold and David, and her sister, Ruth. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m, A funeral service will be held at King Street Baptist Church, 361 King St. E., Cambridge, on Saturday, May 3, 1997, at 11 a.m, Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery.

    MAIN, Ray

    It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ray John Main on October 22, 2015. Ray was born on March 29, 1955 in the Galt Hospital. His mother was Shirley Jean Poore born in Plattsville. His father was Wilfred George Main, born in Sheffield. He graduated from Preston High School and worked for Canada Post all his life receiving several awards for outstanding customer service. He umpired for many years in the Cambridge Minor Baseball Association and was honoured as Umpire of the Year in 2007 and given a Lifetime Achievement Award for 20 years of service at the Toyota Tyke Tournament. Ray was a member of the King Street Baptist Church and loved Jesus with all his heart, serving Him as a Deacon, Treasurer and Joyful voice in the choir and praise team. A puzzle was always on the table, the larger the better. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Debbie and his four sons, Christopher (Jeyran), Peter (Becki), Geoffrey and Daniel, and his loved grandchildren, Zakaria, Tia, Kyrin, Clark and Ethanael. He will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters, Neil (Donna), Glen (Karen), Teresa (Ross) and Cathy (Shawn), and many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Barthel Funeral Home , 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge Ontario, N3H 3J8, (519) 653-3251, from 2: 00 - 4: 00 p.m. and 7: 00 - 9: 00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 11: 00 a.m. at the King Street Baptist Church, 361 King St. East, Cambridge Ontario, N3H 3M7. Donations to "King Street Baptist Church Building Fund or Memorial Fund," or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
