Tragically, in the line of duty, at Kitchener, on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, Pat Sullivan (nee Reilly) of Waterloo. Beloved mother of Dwayne and his wife Denise Sullivan of Cambridge; cherished grandmother of Mitchell and her yet to be born grandchild. Dear sister of Joan Guthrie and husband Bob of Mississauga and Rosemary McWhirter and husband Al of Dundas. Auntie Pat will be sadly missed by Ruthanne, Terry, Shawn. Tracy. Carrie Kelly and their families. Pat raised Dwayne single handily, being his mother, father and his best friend. She was a sports fanatic and a Drum Corps "Mom". Memorial services will be conducted in the chapel of Little's Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 223 Main St. E., Cambridge on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Paul Ellingham officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, only from 11 a.m., until the time of service, at 1 p.m. Interment of cremated remains, will take place at Parklawn Cemetery Columbarium. Reception to follow at Doon Valley Golf Course.

Afew months after Tracey Pedder moved into a Waterloo townhouse last spring, Paul Tabor made a point of coming over to her Dunvegan Drive home to welcome her to the neighbourhood. That's why Pedder was shocked to hear that the nice, kind man who made her feel so comfortable to be living in Lincoln Village neighbourhood has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of a coworker "It totally blew me away, she said. "He was a normal guy Like one of your uncles." Pedder said. Tabor 52, was charged shortly after Patricia Sullivan, 57, was fatally shot, Saturday, outside a Canada Post sorting station on Trillium Drive in Kitchener. She was shot three times in the head and body. Police seized a handgun at the scene. Both Sullivan and Tabor were employees of Securitas Canada, an independent security company hired by Canada Post. Sullivan was a supervisor and Tabor was a security guard and it is believed the shooting is related to the fact that Tabor had been fired two weeks before the incident. Tabor remains in custody until his next court appearance, Monday. Meanwhile, a police cruiser remains parked in Tabor's driveway, at 419 B Dunvegan Dr. Neighbours said a cruiser appeared at the house shortly after the shooting and officers have kept 24-hour watch of the house, and neighbours say two plainclothes detectives escorted Tabor's wife and two sons, ages 20 and 10, into the house early Sunday, as they fetched personal items. The family hasn't been seen since. Staff Sgt. Adrian Darmon said police are guarding the house until a warrant is obtained to allow officers to do a thorough search of the residence. He said police had had no contact with the family prior to the incident. Neighbours described Tabor as a quiet, friendly man who loved to play ball with his younger son and other neighbourhood children. They said the family kept to themselves and at times, the couple looked after foster children. Darmon wouldn't say whether the family had any foster children at the time of the shooting, and while he wouldn't say whether the handgun seized by police was registered to Tabor, the officer said security guards in Ontario aren't allowed to carry firearms. "As part of his job. he was not licensed to carry a firearm." Darmon said.
