    LLOYD MARTIN 1929 - 2006

    Passed away peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Monday, December 11, 2006, at the age of 76 years. Lloyd resided at the Village of Winston Park and was a truck driver for his entire working career. He drove for such companies as Kingsway, Reliable, and most recently Challenger. Lloyd enjoyed trucking all over North America and will be remembered for his great sense of humour. Lloyd was predeceased by his beloved wife Theresa of 37 years. He is survived by his step-son Pat Murphy, granddaughters Heidi and Beverly Murphy, and his cherished friend Elaine Townsend. Lloyd is also survived by his sisters and brother, Vera and her husband David Brubacher of Elmira, Willard and his wife Mary Ellen Martin of State College Pennsylvania, Gladys and her husband Edward Diefenbacher of Moorefield, Florence and her husband Lorne Metzger of Elmira, and Marlene and her husband Peter Kwandt of Renfrew. Lloyd was also predeceased by his parents David C. and Adina Martin and his brothers Cleon and Clarence Martin. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lloyd during visitation with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, December 14 at 10: 30 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Reitzel officiating. A reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home immediately following the service. The interment will follow the reception at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses of St. Mary's Hospital and the CCU of Grand River Hospital for their care and compassion.
