    Leis, Noah B., son of Noah and Catherine (Brunk) Leis, was born near Kingwood, Ont., Oct. 15, 1878; died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, May 28, 1966; aged 87 y. 7 m. 13 d. On Nov. 20, 1905, he was married to Magdalena Streicher, who died Feb. 29, 1944. Surviving are 2 sons (Emanuel and Clayton), 3 daughters (Lena - Mrs. John McMillan, Mrs. Clara Kennel, and Lavina - Mrs. Herbert Kraft), and 2 brothers (John and Joseph). Two sisters and 2 grandchildren preceded him in death. He was a member of the Maple View Church, where funeral services were held May 30, conducted by Moses Roth and Alvin Leis.

Funeral Home in Wellesley, where a family service will be conducted on Monday, May 30th, 1966, at 2:00 o'clock p.m. This will be followed by a memorial service at the Maple View Mennonite Church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be in the church cemetery

    Mrs. John McMillan

    Mrs. John McMillan, 63, Hampstead, died Thursday at Avon Crest, Stratford.

    She was born in Wellesley Township, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Noah B. Leis.

    She was a member of the Hampstead United Church; a life member of the UCW of the church; a member of the Hampstead WI.

    Surviving are her husband; one son, Kenneth, RR 1 Gadshill; three daughters, Mrs. Mervin (Beatrice) Stroh, Wellesley; Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Murray, Prince George, B.C.; Mrs. Douglas (Kathaleen) Marquette, RR 1 Stratford; two brothers, Emanuel and Clayton both of Milverton; two sisters, Mrs. Emanuel (Clara) Kennell, and Mrs. Herbert (Lavina) Kraft, both of Waterloo; nine grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held oni Sunday at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley.

    Burial was in Hampstead cemetery.

    Leis, Clayton S., son of Noah B. and Magdalena (Streicher) Leis, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont., Aug. 12, 1912; died at Stratford General Hospital, Stratford, Ont., Dec. 11, 1987; aged 75 y. On Nov. 22, 1932, he was married to Magdalena Gerber, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Edmund and Albert), 3 daughters (Marjorie Bowles, Helen Kropf, and Laurene Wilhelm), 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters (Clara Roth and Lavina Kraft). He was a member of Poole Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Dec. 14, in charge of David Brubacher; interment in the church cemetery.

    KRAFT, Lavina 1920 - 2011 After a long and full life, Lavina died peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener. She was 91. Dear mother of John and his wife Donna of Elmira. She will also be lovingly remembered by her two grandchildren, Brittany and Jamie and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 1988; parents Magdelena (Streicher) and Noah Leis; brothers Emmanuel and Clayton Leis and sisters Clara Roth and Magdelena MacMillan. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories of Lavina with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo this evening (Wednesday) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service to celebrate her life and faith will follow in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Snell officiating. Immediately following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for lunch and a time to visit with the family. Interment will follow in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.     LEIS, Edmund - Peacefully went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. He resided in Wellesley and was formerly of Millbank. Ed was born 74 years ago in Wellesley Township, a son of the late Clayton and Magdalena (Gerber) Leis. He was a member of Poole Mennonite Church where he served as Elder, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. Ed blessed his church family with his musical talent as song leader and musician. Beloved husband of Lydiann (Zehr) Leis whom he married in 1956. Loving father of Doug and Cheryl of Wiarton, Judy and Tim Yantzi of RR2 Tavistock, Rob and Brenda of RR1 Newton, Val and Robert Bender of RR2 Wellesley, Don and Julie of Wellesley, Sherry and Metaxas Makedos of RR2 Tavistock. Special grandpa of 21 grandchildren. Brother of Marjorie and Doug Bowles of Woodstock, Helen and Howard Kropf of Tavistock, Albert and friend Pat of Stratford, Laurene and Bruce Wilhelm of New Hamburg and brother-in-law of Allan and Marg Zehr of RR1 Newton. Also remembered by his aunt, Lavina Kraft of Waterloo and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by one brother in infancy and sister-in-law, Sandra Leis.
