    Notes:

    Brubacher.- Allen Brubacher, was born in Woolwich Twp., Ont., July 15, 1881; died, after a lingering illness, at his home in Breslau, Ont., Jan. 11, 1944; aged 62 y. 5 m. 4 d. On March 11, 1908, he was married to Amanda Habermehl who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Albert, Kitchener; and Delton, Debert, N. S.), 3 brothers (Addison, Kitchener; Nathaniel, Saskatchewan; David, Waterloo), and 3 sisters (Mrs. David Koch, Kitchener; Mrs. Geo. Lichty, Elmira; Mrs. Harry Humphrey, Niagara Falls, N. Y.), and 2 grandchildren. In his early manhood he was converted and united with the Mennonite Church, in which fellowship he remained until the death messenger called him out of this world. He will be greatly missed as a husband and father, and by his neighbors and friends. A few days before he died he gave his testimony that he was ready to go. Funeral services were held at his late residence on Jan. 14, and at the Cressman Mennonite Church. His body was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Ministers were Bros. Isaac Brubacher and Oscar Burkholder. Text, Rom. 14: 713.

    Albert Brubacher

    Albert Brubacher, 130 King St. W., died Monday, at St. Mary’s Hospital, after a brief illness. He was 57. Mr Brubacber was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Brubacher of Hawkesville. He lived in Kitchener, for the past 30 years and during that time as an employee of B. F. Goodrich Canada Ltd. Surviving are his wife, the former Eva Becker: two sons, Douglas and Roger, both of Kitchener: one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Jean) Kaufman of Kitchener, one brother, Delton of Preston and five grandchildren. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, where the service will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m. Capt. Clyde Moore of the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will be in Cressman Mennonite cemetery, Breslau.

    KAUFMAN, Jean Elaine (nee Brubacher) - Passed away, at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Arthur Kaufman for 57 years, loving mother of Bonnie (Alan) Gilmore, Dennis (Donna) Kaufman and Donald (Susan) Kaufman, cherished grandmother of Chris, Bethany, Jessica and Amanda and much loved great-grandmother of Keegan and Kaitlyn. She will be greatly missed by her brother, Roger (Lorraine) Brubacher. Predeceased by her brother, Douglas Brubacher and her grandson, Shaun Gilmore. Friends will be received at the Westmount Funeral Chapel , 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Jean's life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 71 Rothsay Avenue, Kitchener. Beloved husband of Angeles Brubacher, loving father of Mary Grace and John, loving grandpa to Zachary, Sam, Natalie, Mitchel and Ryan. Cherished brother of Roger and Jean. Survived by his mother, Eva. Friends will be received at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener on Saturday, July 28, 2007, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 30, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi, 49 Blueridge Avenue, Kitchener at 1 p.m.
