Martin, Elizabeth, daughter of the late Moses and Susannah (Brubacher) Gingrich, was born May 13, 1870, in Woolwich Twp., Ont.; died at the K & W Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., following a brief illness, July 17, 1959; aged 89 y. 2 m. 4 d. On Nov. 1, 1891, she was married to Enoch B. Martin, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Norman, Elmira; and Mose, Goderich), 3 daughters (Selina-Mrs. Mike Good, Acadia Valley, Alta.; Lucinda, Kitchener; and Louida-Mrs. Gilber Snider, Waterloo), 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Elmira Church. The last year she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Snider, at Waterloo. Funeral services were conducted by Oliver D. Snider and Howard S. Bauman.

MRS. ENOCH B. MARTIN

Funeral for Mrs. Enoch B. Martin, 89, of RR 1, Waterloo, who died Friday,. July 17, at K-W Hospital, was conducted Monday at 3 p.m. in Elmira Mennonite Church.

The body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Home until Mon day at 1 p.m. Burial was in Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. Rev. Howard F. Bauman and Rev. Over Snider officiated.

Mrs. Martin was the former Elizabeth Gingrich, a daughter of the late Mose Gingrich and Susannah. Brubacher.

She was born near Elmira, May 13, 1870, and lived in the area until 1912 when she moved to Alberta for 22 years. She lived in Elmira until a year ago when she moved to live with her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Louida) Snider, RR 1, Waterloo

Surviving are her husband to whom she was married 67 years ago; two sons, Norman of Elmira, Mose of Goderich; three daughters Mrs. Snider, Mrs. Milo (Selina) Good of Acadia Valley, Alta.; Miss Lucinda of Kitchener; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Good, Selina G. Martin, daughter of Enoch B. and Elizabeth (Gingrich) Martin, was born in Elmira, Ont., on Feb. 6, 1900; died at Tofield (Alta.) Health Center, Dec. 14, 1989; aged 89. On Feb. 19, 1918, she was married to Christian Milo Good, who died on May 9,1973. Surviving are 2 sons (Lloyd and Edgar), 2 daughters (Beulah Martin and Viola Roth), 15 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren, and 2 sisters (Lucinda Robertson and Louida Snider). She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, and 2 brothers (Norman and Mose). She was a member of the Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at Dyen, Alta., on Dec. 18, in charge of Norman Zimmerman and Ray Landis; interment in Acadia Valley, Alta.

SNIDER, Louida - Peacefully, after a full and rewarding life, Louida died Saturday evening, October 12, 2002, surrounded by her daughters. She died at Pinehaven Nursing Home in Waterloo, in her 97th year.Beloved wife of the late Gilbert Snider, who died October 25, 1981. She is survived by four daughters, Merlyn and Stuart Martin of Conestogo, Carol and Mel Bauman, Thelma and Lionel (Lum) Hamilton of Waterloo and Yvonne and Dan Nighswander of Winnipeg. She will be fondly remembered by her ten grandchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Martin, Brent Martin, Todd (Lorrie) Martin, Krista (Ray) Vandongen, Kent (Lorraine) Bauman, Craig Bauman, John (Deone) Hamilton, Jane Hamilton, Maggie Nighswander (Daniel Rempel) and Heidi Nighswander-Rempel (Stephen Nighswander-Rempel) and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Ethel (Mose) Martin of Goderich.Predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Gingrich and Enoch Martin; two brothers and two sisters. She was the last surviving member of her family.Mrs. Snider was an active member of Erb Street Mennonite Church, the WMSC and was involved in many other events in the life of the church. She was a charter member of the Lexington Women's Institute. Louida and her husband Gilbert farmed at Highway Maples for thirty-five years, where they were known for their maple syrup products.Mrs. Snider's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Tuesday). The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Renee Sauder and Rev. Allan Rudy-Froese officiating. Interment to follow in Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations to Mennonite Central Committee, Canadian National Institute for the Blind or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy, and can be arranged through the funeral home, 745-8445 ..
