    Hostetler, Mrs. Roxie

    On Saturday, Sept. 8, 1984, at her residence, Nithview Home, New Hamburg, Mrs. Roxie Hostetler, aged 95 years. She was very active bowler for many years and enjoyed club swinging, tatting and quilting. She was a daughter of the late Aaron Hostetler and Samantha Toman [sic]. Beloved wife of Harry Hostetler who predeceased her in 1950. Dear mother of Donald and his wife Betty of Guelph; beloved grandmother of Linda (Mrs. David Webb), Wendy (Mrs. Barry Collette), James and his wife, Sandra Sadly missed by 3 great-grandchildren, Peter, Julie and Kelly; one sister, Mrs. Wayne Mitchell and sister-in-law, Mrs. Katie Toman. Predeceased by one son, Woodrow in 1944; one daughter, Wanda in 1918, three brothers, Clayton, Ranald and Iris; four sisters, Bertie, Effie, Cora and Ruby. Services were held from the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. Internment followed in Riverside cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Nithview Home or a charity of your choice.

    Died - The death took place yesterday morning of Wanda Ilene, dearly beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hostetler, at the age of 5 years, 3 months and 30 days. The little girl was seriously ill about a year ago, from the effects of which she never fully recovered. She was a bright little girl and the pride of her parents, who have the sympathy of their many friends in their sad loss. The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock to the Baptist Church and Riverside Cemetery.

    F. O. Woodrow Hostetler Presumed Dead

    Flying Officer Woodrow Hostetler is now reported presumed dead, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hostetler. Only a few weeks ago he was reported missing. The sad news is reported to have come through Red Cross channels, but no particulars are as yet forthcoming.
