    Joseph Mossburger

    The death of Joseph Mossburger, occurred at his home in St. Agatha early yesterday afternoon after a lingering Illness at the age of 65 years, three months and 17 days. He is survived by his widow, four sons, Edward of Kitchener, John, Joseph and Hylvester at home, three daughters, Mr. Charles Hauck, Waterloo, Mrs. Alfred Schnitzler, St. Agatha and Mrs. Mr. Leander Klenapple of Josephsburg, one brother, Egnidius of Josephsburg and three sisters. Mr. John Balm, Waterloo, Mrs. John Lorentz, Erbsville and Mrs. George Halm, Josephsburg. The funeral will be held from the late residence to St. Agatha R. C. church at 9 o'clock, Monday morning. Interment will be made in the St. Agatha R. C. cemetery.

    John E. Mosburger - By Record Correspondent - St. Agatha - John E. Mosburger, 61, of St. Agatha, died Friday in St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. Born in Josephsburg, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Mosburger. He farmed in the district for 41 years and was a member of St. Agatha RC Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Magdalena Schnitzler, whom he married in Formosa in 1930; five daughters, Mrs. James (Theresa) Brohman of Bridgeport, Mrs. Orville (Rita) Heimpel and Miss Clarona, Miss Hilaria and Miss Helen, all of St. Agatha; two brothers, Joseph and Sylvester, both of St. Agatha; one step-brother, Edward Weber of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Olive) Schnitzler of Waterloo and Mrs. Leander (Matilda) Kienapple of Josephsburg. There are four grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Hauck of Waterloo, died a week ago. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, from 7: 30 o'clock tonight. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 pm Monday. Prayers at the funeral home at 9: 30 am, Tuesday will be followed by requiem high mass at St. Agatha RC Church at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Agatha RC Cemetery, Rev. Menno Hinsperger will officiate.

    He was born in St. Agatha and farmed in that area until five years ago. A member of St. Agatha RC Church and the Holy Name Society.

    Son of the late Joseph and Rosina Mosburger; husband of the former Agnes Kieswetter; father of Joseph Jr. of RR 2, Petersburg, Ronald, David and Rose Ann (Mrs. William Pulley), all of RR 1, St. Agatha and Donna (Mrs. Hector O'Brien) of Waterloo; brother of Sylvester of RR 1, St. Agatha, Mrs. Olive Schnitzler and Mrs. Matilda Kienapple, both of Waterloo. Also survived by nine grandchildren. Predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

    Mr. Mosburger's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, after 7 p.m. this evening. Parish prayers will be said at the funeral home Wednesday at 8 p.m. Prayers Thursday at 10:15 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at St. Agatha RC Church, (Thursday) at 11 a.m. Rev Vernon Brunning officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.

    Donations to the Canadian Red Cross or the Victorian Order of Nurses would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    Sylvester was born in Wilmot township 84 years ago. Son of the late Joseph Mosburger and the late Rosina Wintermeyer. Mr. Mosburger was a life long member of St. Agatha RC Church. He farmed near St. Agatha retiring in 1976.

    Loving husband of Anna A. (Kieswetter) Mosburger of RR 1, St. Agatha. He is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, John and Joseph and by a step-brother, Ed Weber; also by three sisters, Olive, Mary and Matilda.

    Visitation at Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St. W. in Wellesley where family and friends will be received today (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1996 at 10:15 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at St. Agatha RC Church at 11 a.m., Rev. Father Charles Fedy will officiate. Spring interment in St. Agatha RC Cemetery.

    David was born in Kitchener 43 years ago; the beloved son of Agnes (Kieswetter) Mosburger of RR 1. St. Agatha and the late Joseph Mosburger.

    David farmed in RR 1. St. Agatha for the past 21 years. He was also employed In the Curring [Curing] Department of J.M. Schneider Inc. for the past 22 years. He was a past member of the St. Agatha Lions Club. He was a Director of the Waterloo Regional Pork Producers Association. He was an active member of St. Agatha RC Church and a volunteer for numerous fund raisers and other charitable activities.

    Loving husband of 21 years of Marie (Bruckman) Mosburger of RR 1. St. Agatha: dear father of Ashley. Lance and Kaitlim. all at home: dear brother of Roseann and her husband Bill Pulley of RR1. St. Agatha. Joe and his wife Carol Mosburger of Petersburg, Ron and his wife Margaret Mosburger of RR 1. St. Agatha and his twin sister, Donna and her husband Hector O'Brien of Waterloo. Predeceased by his father. Joe Mosburger Sr.. October 27.1981.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St. Wellesley on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Monday. June 22, 1998 at 10 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agatha RC Church at 11 a.m. Rev. Charles Fedy will officiate. Cremation will follow.

    Misfortune:
    David died suddenly at Hamilton General Hospital a day after accidently shooting himself in the head in a hunting accident while shooting groundhogs on his farm land.
